The 2026 World Press Institute fellows will be taking part in the Outrider Nuclear Reporting Summit in Los Angeles, as part of this year’s program.
The free two-day summit brings together journalists, filmmakers, and content creators to explore how nuclear risk intersects with some of the most important issues shaping the global landscape, including artificial intelligence, climate change, community health, outer space, and national security.
For WPI fellows, participation in the summit forms part of a broader approach to professional development that emphasises not only access to institutions and expertise, but the context and editorial judgment required to report on complex, high-stakes topics.
Hosted by the Outrider Foundation in partnership with the Health and Society programme at the USC Annenberg Norman Lear Center, the summit offers a platform for cross-disciplinary exchange and deeper engagement with one of the most technically and politically challenging beats in journalism.
