James Fallows is a longtime writer for The Atlantic, and chair in U.S. media at the United States Studies Centre at the University of Sydney in Australia.
He is a former editor of U.S. News & World Report and the author of several books; his latest, China Airborne, based on several years of reporting in China, was released in May of 2012.
