Paula Prahl is senior vice president of communications, public affairs and corporate responsibility for Best Buy Co., Inc. In this role, Prahl is responsible for the strategic direction and management of the retailer’s global voice, reputation and corporate citizenship.

Included in her portfolio are government and community relations, the Best Buy Children’s Foundation of which she serves as president, internal communications, public relations, marketing and corporate events, corporate responsibility and the company’s in-house production studio Yellow Tag Productions. Prahl also serves as a leader on the company’s global marketing team.  

Prior to joining Best Buy in 2001, Prahl drove policy direction, community engagement and growth of the company’s government business as the vice president of government and community relations for Honeywell. Previously, she focused on business issues and education reform as the director of policy at the Minnesota Business Partnership. Prahl began her career in higher education administration as the director of student affairs at Wheaton College in Massachusetts.
 
Prahl is an active and past board member of a number of organizations, including the National Retail Federation, Retail Industry Leaders Association, Scholarship America, Hubert H. Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs, Minnesota Chamber of Commerce, Minnesota Retail Association, Boys and Girls Club of the Twin Cities and the United Way of the Twin Cities.
