Journalism in the Trump Era

Reporting from conflict zones is the most dangerous — and the most resource-demanding — of all forms of journalism. Publishers are increasingly reluctant to pick up the bill — but can we afford to leave it to self-interested magnates and governments with an agenda?

We journalists do ourselves and the public a favor if we at least recognize our own faults and look for solutions instead of picking sides in unwinnable wars.
